KLCA - KCYM organised Charithrapadam Quiz Competition. Final round was held on Thu 29th December 2011 at Archbishop Bernard Hall, St. Albert's College, Ernakulam. The main objective of the Charithrapadam Quiz is the create the knowledge about the Long Legacy of the Archdiocese of Verapoly.
Charithrapadam Quiz had three stages - 1st one at the Parish Level was held on Sun Nov 27th 2011 at different parishes in the Archdioceses of Verapoly. There were 43 parishes where we had the 1st level of competitions.
The 2nd level was held in the Forane Centres on Sun Dec 18th 2011, where the best from three categories of each parish of the forane competed. Cathedral Forane - Mariyasadan Hall, Kaloor Forane - Antonio Bible College, Chathiath Forane -St. Antony's Church, Thykoodam Forane - Mary Magdalene Church, Koonamavu Forane - St. Pholominas Church, Kalamassery Forane - St. Pious Church, Alwaye Forane - St. Xavier's College, Vypin Forane - Navadarshan College.
The 3rd stage - The Final Round was held on on 29th December 2011 at Archbishop Bernard Hall, St. Albert's College, Ernakulam where the 1st prize Norbert Memorial Ever-rolling Trophy and Rs. 5000/- cash prize was grabbed by St. Antony's Shrine Team, Kaloor , the 2nd was Mount Carmel Team Chathiath and the 3rd was Sacred Heart Team, Manattuparambhu. St. Sebastian's Church secured the prize for the most number of participants in the stage one at parish level.
Sri. Joseph Jude was the quiz master for the final stage. Dr. Sabu Chacko, Educational Forum Convenor, KLCA Archdiocese of Verapoly. Sri. Jose Ralph, Educational Forum Convenor, KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly lead the event.
