KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly organised Padanakedram - (Study Class) on Kochi Metro Rail - Developmental Dream of Kochi at Youth Centre, Ernakulam on Fri 2011 November 25th. Sri. Dominic Presentation MLA inaugurated the study class. Mr. Shine Antony, President Archdiocese of Verapoly presided over the meeting. Mr. K.G. Mathai, Mr. Henry Austin explained various aspects of the Kochi Metro Rail. Rev. Fr. Joseph Oliparambil, Mr. George Dixon, Mr. Titu Antony D'Silva, Miss. Serin Xavier, Mr. Jose Ralph, Mr. Mimil Varghese CJ spoke in the meeting.
The study class became lively when the participants debated on the feasibility and the present alignment of the Project. The sessions winded up with the request to complete the project within the stipulated time-period, authorities to be pro-active to make the city livable during the construction phase of the project and further the alignment have to re-looked into and In future aor along with the present work an extension of the alignment to Kochi - Nedumbassery can be though about.
Sri. Dominic Presentation MLA requested that all have to be united to overcome any hurdles that may come in the phase of construction of the Kochi Metro Rail and assured that the State Government will make sure to complete the Dream Project within the stipulated time period.
