“Glory to God in the highest and peace to men of good will” that was the message of the angels to the shepherds sleeping in the fields.
Christmas is the time when heaven and earth join together. God became man and lived in our midst. That is the message of Christmas. No wonder Christmas becomes the most beautiful and joyful time all over the world. Stars, crib, Christmas tree, Santa clause, cakes, Christmas cards, carol songs and gifts all together make this season most beautiful. But through all this the message stands clear, the creator God has not forgotten the created world. God is visiting his people.
This Christmas becomes a time of great hope and peace. In a world that is troubled by divisions and troubles, this feast comes to tell us that everything is not lost, but all will work together for good.
My wish to you is that when you see the Christmas stars this year, remember that heaven has come closer to man. When you see the Christmas crib, remember that Christ became poor and was born in a little cattle shed. He thus glorified poverty and suffering.
