National Colloquium - Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) 25th Plenary Assembly

Mr. Shine Antony, President, KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly is selected to represent National Colloquium - Towards Pastoral Plan for India by Conference Catholic Bishops of India which will be held at NBCLC Centre at Bangalore on 21st June to 24th June 2012. The 25th Plenary Assembly of Bishops in India decided to call for a National Colloquium for re-visioning and re-missioning of the Latin Church:
  • To formulate a clear Vision-Mission Statement for the CCBI
  • To draw up a ten-year Pastoral Plan
  • To define the long-term and short term goals
  • To design a practical and participative process of achieving them
As the Rt. Rev. Bishop Varghese Chakkalakal Secretary General of the CCBI, Bishop of Kozhikode Diocese and the Administrator of Kannur Diocese said the delegates are choosen from among the 1,87,53000 Latin Catholics and delegates represent not only their region (There are 13 regions in India)  but are expected to voice out the opinion of all the faithful of the Roman Catholic Latin Rite Church in India. Kerala Region one of the best region in 13 regions in India is represented with a team of 18 members headed by Archbishop His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Sosai Packiam. Team consists of Priests, Nuns, Religious, Laity (Male & Female) and Youth Representatives (Male & Female).
We the youth of Archdiocese of Verapoly congratulates and wish that you can raise the voice out for the faithful of the Roman Catholic Latin Rite Church in India especially for Youth.
