125 youth of Archdiocese of Verapoly donated their organs - Organ Donation

On the special occasion of 125^th anniversary of Archdiocese of Verapoly, 125 youth from Archdiocese of Verapoly handed over their consent letter to donate organs after death in a public function held at St. Sebastian Church, Bolgatty on 22^nd April 2012. The Meeting was inaugurated by Prof. K V Thomas, Central Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Mr. Shine Antony, President KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly presided the Meeting. 

Mr. Kochouseph Chittilapilly, the founder and Vice Chairman of V-Guard Industries Ltd. and a kidney donator delivered the keynote address. Adv. Joseph Chelakatt (Vice President) handed over the consent letters to Fr. Joseph Oliparambill, (Director). Mr. Antony Rejoy (General Secretary), Fr. Biju Thattarassery (Parish Priest St. Sebastian Church, Bolgatty), Mr. Aneesh Antony, (President, KCYM Bolgatty), Mr. Raigan D’cunha and Mr. Joseph Reneesh Antony also spoke during the Ceremony.

The programme got huge upbeat response from all parishes in the archdiocese as it reflects the social responsibility catholic youth. The certificates will be issued to the 125 donors at the Archdiocesan Youth Meet, to be held on July 15^th 2012 at Ashirbhavan, Kacheripady.
