Protest March : Petrol Price Hike
KCYM organised Protest march against the Petrol Price Hike which will lead to the price hike of the commodities of the common man. KCYM demanded the Central Ministry to check the Price and stand for the common man and demanded the State Government to reduce the State Tax for the Petroleum Products, as the Tamilnad State Government had done. Dr. Fr. Nixon Kattassery, Chancellor, Diocese of Kottapuram flag off the Protest March from the Archdiocesan Youth Centre. The Protest March ended at the Highcourt with the Protest Meeting. KRLCC State General Secretary Mr. Shaji George, KLM President Mr. Joseph Jude, KCYM President Mr. I M Antony, KCYM General Secretary Mr. Shine Antony, Archdiocesan Pastoral Committee Secretary Adv. Sherry J Thomas, Socio Political Forum Convener Mr. Sijoy Antony, Adv. Joseph Chelakatt addressed the gathering.
