Ash Wednesday and Lent Wishes

Ashes are a spiritual memo to self! When they are put on the forehead they say; stop just a minute and take stock; where are you heading in life? What are you doing with life? What are you doing full stop! It is a shaking into life. It is an appeal from God who made to us, to love the gift of life we have been given.

Ashes are given as a reminder to us to enter into Lent fully resolved to prepare spiritually in the weeks ahead, so as to fully appreciate the message of Easter: That Christ has truly risen... Alleluia!
